

Head of Museum Departments : The Museum Department of the Naval Museum Command is responsible for the exhibition, storage, maintenance, and restoration of the collection of historical objects, as well as overseeing the security of the institution.
Art historians, docents, restorers, conservators, interior designers, and chemists with degrees in their respective fields of specialization are employed under the status of civil servant.
Wood, paint, metal, and textile restorations are carried out as needed.
The Archives Department : The Archives Department of the Naval Museum Command manages the examination and classification of all archival material, including documents, maps, photographs, and books. It is also responsible for the preparation of catalogs for the collections.
Historians, archivists, librarians, and public relations personal are employed as civil servants.
Paper restoration is undertaken within the Archives Department.
The Supplies Department : The Supplies Department of the Naval Museum Command keeps museum inventories and provides the institution's logistic needs.
It's mission is to evaluate the objects, documents etc. forming the naval history of the periods of Turkish States in which it made a relationship with sea and tried to find out the strategical benefits from sea. This is the first class museum whose policy is to exhibit so called materials consistent with the contemporary museumship mentality and to provide facilities in order to publish the related researches.
It's one of the three museums that have the international status and contain every types of military values in. Turkish Naval Museum, having specialization of naval side of the military history; makes all kind of studies in context of the advancement of museumship.
