EGEMEN AMPHIBIOUS EXERCISE


INFORMATION REGARDING EXERCISE

  EGEMEN-2015 AMPHIBIOUS EXERCISE is an Multi-national Exercise being planned, carried out and hosted by Turkish Naval Forces. This is the second EGEMEN Exercise to be conducted. The Exercise will be conducted in the Aegean Sea during the period of 24-28 October 2015 with the participation of Turkish and US Navy units, UK and ROK Navy observers.

will participate in the Exercise as well.

EXECUTION

  The exercise will be led by the DISTAFF embarked on the flag ship USS KEARSARGE. DISTAFF will consist of US and Turkish Personnel.

  EGEMEN-2015 will be conducted in 4 Phases.

  The First Phase is composed of Syndicate Meetings and exercises, Media Briefing, Pre-Sail Conference as well as Social Activities in Foça Naval Base.

  During the second phase, force integration training will be conducted. Units will perform coordinated antisubmarine, anti surface and anti air warfare operations and countermeasure to asymetric threat exercise.

  The third phase will be conducted as a tactical amphibious exercise based on a fictitious scenario and non-combatant evacuation exercise. Distaff will lead this phase with pre-scenario guidance and injections.

  During the last phase of the exercise, on 28th October hot wash up will be conducted on board USS KEARSARGE which will give a chance to discuss and evaluate the exercise to all participants.
